Pancakes, Pancakes!

by Eric Carle

What's it about? The book is about a boy named Jack who'd like to have a big pancake for breakfast.  But, before he can enjoy his pancake, he has to grind the wheat into flour, get an egg from the black hen, milk the cow, churn the butter, get firewood to build a fire, and get strawberry jam for his pancake.  It is like a pancake recipe.  It even shows you how Jack's mother makes a pancake.
Mimi's favorite part: At the end of the book, Jack's mother said, "And now Jack," and Mimi would say, "Oh, Mama, I know what to do now!" as if she were Jack.  Mimi loves to watch me make pancakes and, of course, she likes to eat them, too.
